Hanna Smyles

Hanna is a senior at the University of Pittsburgh with a major in psychology and minors in studio art and Japanese. In addition to the Development and Motivation Research Lab, Hanna also serves as a research assistant for the Social, Cognition, Relationships, and Personality Lab, studying how borderline personality disorder affects relationships in adolescents and adults. Hanna is also president and co-founder of HUNIE, a Pitt organization focused on supporting women and non-binary individuals of color both on campus and in the greater Pittsburgh community. Following graduation, Hanna plans on pursuing a PhD in developmental psychology. In her free time, Hanna loves cooking, sewing, and visiting museums.
