  • Graduate Researcher

Romina is a doctoral student in the Developmental Psychology program. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Public Health from Santa Clara University. Her research background involves an intervention program that emphasized mindfulness techniques to decrease stress and increase executive functioning in school. Her undergraduate background has influenced her current interest in analyzing the underlying processes and development of adolescent mental illness; specifically, she would like to observe the relationship between types of academic engagement and mental disorders. She also hopes to examine current and potential preventative measures, such as interventions, to help diminish the prevalence of mental diseases like anxiety and depression. She loves her dog, good food, California, and Netflix marathons.
