Allison received her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. After teaching elementary school in New Orleans for six years, she moved to Munich, Germany to obtain her master of education from the Technical University of Munich, focusing on research on teaching and learning. Her master’s thesis investigated teachers’ judgment accuracy and whether specific teacher characteristics – teacher self-concept, knowledge, and eye movements – could predict teacher diagnostic accuracy. After receiving her master’s degree, Allison moved to Pittsburgh and joined the lab as a data specialist. Allison enjoys traveling to new places, trying new restaurants, and exploring Pittsburgh’s many parks on her bike.
