Rochelle Hentges, Ph.D.

  • Postdoctoral Fellow

Rochelle received her PhD in Developmental Psychology from the University of Rochester. She was an undergrad at the University of Pittsburgh, double-majoring in English Writing and Psychology. Prior to going back to graduate school, Rochelle worked for several years as a newspaper reporter before getting her master's in psychology from the University of Stirling in Scotland. Her current research interests focus on individual differences in child adjustment in risky contexts (e.g., harsh parenting, poverty, domestic violence), with a particular focus on how temperament and personality traits influence psychological and socio-emotional functioning within these contexts. She is particularly interested in exploring factors that promote resilience and healthy adjustment in high-risk environments.
In her free time, Rochelle enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and watching the Steelers.
