Nabila Jamal Orozco

Nabila is a graduate student in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh.  She graduated with a baccalaureate degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of California, Riverside.  Nabila is interested in examining early and middle childhood socioemotional impacts on cognitive processing.  Specifically, she is interested in understanding the role emotions serve in the classroom and the ways in which they impact children’s learning.  This year Nabila will be working with Dr. Ming-Te Wang and his lab on researching motivation and engagement in the classroom and the ways in which they interact with emotion processing.

In her free time, Nabila enjoys cooking, traveling, music, yoga, drawing, and running to new places!
