Shane Usher

Shane received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh. During his senior year, Shane completed research at the Affective Neuroscience and Developmental Psychopathology Lab where he investigated the neural bases of affective processing in the development of adolescent depression and substance use. Throughout his undergraduate career, Shane tutored and advocated for refugees in the Pittsburgh area. He plans to attain a graduate degree in Public Health in the hopes of creating preventative interventions for mental disorders. When not in the lab, Shane can be seen publicly arguing with his dog in vain attempts to discipline.
