Rachel Haras

Rachel received her BS from the University of Pittsburgh – Greensburg, where she majored in Mathematics (Applied) and minored in Actuarial Sciences. She is currently working on her Professional Science Master’s in Applied Mathematics at California University of Pennsylvania focusing on “Big Data” and statistical data analytics. Prior to joining the lab, Rachel worked as a research assistant at the Center for Applied Research at the University of Pittsburgh – Greensburg. Rachel is also an active member of the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics. Her current research interests include health informatics, STEM education, and social media analysis. In her free time, Rachel enjoys reading, thrift shopping, and live concerts.
